In my life and career, I have been exposed to all kinds of leadership styles. But the ones who have had the most significance on my life are a select few who have been not only leaders but also mentors.
I have discovered that certain principles of leadership are timeless and they can be taught, learned, absorbed and passed onto those we are privileged to lead. Positive, life changing leadership is an acquired trait, learned from others who know how to lead and how to lead well.
Understanding the profound effect of our leadership on others is often the first step toward adopting a style of leadership. For me the style that has proved itself time and time again is mentoring leadership.
